Raja Yoga of Philadelphia 200 Hour Teacher Training Program
Raja Yoga’s teacher training is certified through Yoga Alliance, and is a six month, part-time program. Classes will be held every three weeks, on the weekend, at the studio. Students will master the practice and teaching of all the yoga asanas as well as receive training in many other aspects of the Himalayan yogic tradition, with a special emphasis on meditation and philosophy. Whether your goal is to become a full time yoga teacher, or to gain personal knowledge and techniques to forever enrich your life, this training will meet your needs.
The following is a partial list of the types of classes and topics to be covered: asanas, diaphramatic breathing, pranayama, seated meditation, use of mantra, guided meditation, anatomy, physiology, the Yoga Sutras, Upanishads, yogic lifestyle, brainwaves and meditation, diet and nutrition, yogic sleep, cleansing techniques. There will also be several hours of homework, generally practice and reading assignments, required between sessions.
Potential students should attend classes and interview at Raja Yoga with primary instructor, Wes Tudor, in order to assess whether the program will be a good fit for them.
The cost of the program is $2000, with a $1000 deposit. The next section will begin in early March, sign up now. A portion of the tuition can possibly be covered in a work/teaching exchange.
